Oh Gorm!! Ah real stickin!!

Long ago, I did a post asking whether or not I should get boots with this costume, and emailed Natalie asking the same question. Both Saucy and Bagogyul gave a resounding yes, and both have since secured their boots. Natalie replied and sent me a pic of the boots (though de file couldn't open - much to my tagrin). Meh chupid self, however, eh do nuttin!! So, hard luck getting boots from Natalie.
Now, ah does check Saucy blog religiously, and she keep comin up with so much footwear alternatives meh head get dizzy tryin to pick one! I know I need gold shoes (sneakers or boots) to go with this costume - blue/orange eh go cut it at all!! So, is still whether or not I should get boots, buy gold sneakers when ah come down (unless I find some here in FL), or take meh ole, buss up shoes and have someone spray it (or even I would spray it mehself). The last option sounds like the most economical, plus, according to Saucy's "Carnival Virgin's Survival Guide" (which is my Carnival bible...lol), that may be the most comfortable option too. By the way, de expression "ole and buss up" doh mean de shoe literally ole an buss up, eh. They're gym sneakers that have proven comfortable to wear during strenuous excercise for a couple years now. Well, if all else fails, ah have dat at least. Still, though, Natalie's boots woulda been rell boss! *Sigh* Oh well...
Mas stockings is de nex ting. Mind you, I have been looking for these elusive leggings. But of course, when it comes to anything relating to "foreign" (Trini) culture, just bouncin into Macy's in the lingerie department would be way too easy...in other words, I have to dig deeper - for stockings. Now, I must confess that I am not a patient person. If I can't find something after 2 or 3 exhaustive attempts, I get fed up and completely lose interest in my quarry. That said, the thing is, I guess, is where to look for these stockings? I tell myself dat will have to wait until I get in Trini, yes. Ah broke already after gettin all meh fete outfits (doh mind I have no clue which damn fete ah goin! lol)
Other than that, I think I'm pretty much set. I pray to God all will go well, and that each and every one of us have a safe and enjoyable Carnival. Bloggers, I'm really looking forward to dat bloggers lime! Two weeks to go before I come down! YAY!!! Ah done!
